KIPS BAY II

We had the exceptional opportunity to partake in the prestigious Kips Bay Decorator Show House for the second time, collaborating with Urbanology Designs to bring their design to life. The project was not without its challenges, as we embarked on a journey of high degree customization and unprecedented timelines. The traditional millwork, painted in the rich hue of Mississippi Mud, envelops the space in timeless elegance. However, the true test of craftsmanship lay in the millwork’s curvature at the ceiling. The meticulously handmade ‘bread kneading’ trough-style sink is also hand-finished in plaster, a work of art in itself, matching the aesthetic perfectly. Moreover, the individually hand-carved fluted marble pieces, carefully assembled for vein alignment and rounded corners demonstrate our unwavering dedication to technical precision. Finally, the spacious walk-in shower, complete with a bench surround and Moroccan plaster serve as a testament to the project’s vision, modern organic marries historical elegance.
